Riverwalk Run Series: A Unique 2-State 5K Experience

The Riverwalk Run Series is America's only 5K series spanning two states! Join the excitement on a route that goes through the historic downtowns of both McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN. All three 5Ks are in the evening because we encourage visitors to stay the weekend. Come shop, dine, and unwind in our beautiful riverfront community!

Participants of all three 5Ks receive a bonus CHALLENGE MEDAL! Here are the details for this year's Bigfoot Boogie 5K:

Date / Time: Saturday, November 2 at 5:30 pm
Course: A picturesque 3.1-mile route that winds through charming Southern towns, alongside the scenic Toccoa River, and across an iconic steel truss bridge—one of only a few remaining in the US.
Weekend Getaway: Make it a weekend! Explore the stunning NorthWest Georgia region, surrounded by mountains and rivers. Enjoy boutique shopping, riverside dining at Riverwalk Shops, and live country music performances at TOONEYS on Friday and Saturday nights.
Community Impact: The Riverwalk Run Series is organized by the McCaysville Business Association, a non-profit dedicated to fostering economic, cultural, and social growth. Whether you visit for the day or stay in one of the area’s scenic cabins or mountain lodges, there’s something for everyone.
Activities: Besides the 5K, our region offers rafting, craft beer breweries, hiking, fly fishing, and live music. Parking is free and conveniently located near the finish line at McCaysville’s City Park.

Shirt & Bib Pickup
- Friday, Nov 1 - 4:00pm - 6:00pm
- Saturday, Nov 2 - 2:00pm - 5:15pm
- The location for both days will be at the Riverwalk Shops restaurant Burra Burra Riverside Dining.
Race Day Registration - available, unless event sells out
Water Bottles - handed out at finish line, please bring your own hydration when walking or running
Rain or Shine .. event will proceed

Age Group Winners / Female & Male: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Start & finish lines are at different places, so race time is based on “gun to chip” (USATF Rule 245)

Parking - Street parking is available in McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN, but our primary lot is located across from the McCaysville City Park at 180 Market Street, McCaysville, GA 30555.
